Well, let me tell you...my Mum, Aunt Sue and couz, Jordan were here for a week...it was the best of times. We had a blast seeing their eyes opened to the way of life here. Our days were filled with lots and lots of laughs- Jordan seemed to perfect an impression of me towards Omar, hilarious! Then Aunt Sue and I came up with our new invention- chick pop!! Shout out to all the rehabilitated chickens at YWAM Belize, yipee!! We went to the Mayan ruins, the Zoo, a museum, cave-tubing and of course, shopping!! It was so great to show them our home and our family here. My favorite part was enjoying coffee with them in the mornings...just chatting and discussing ways to temporarily injure the noisy birds outside, ummm- yep its true.
All the while they were here, my mum was on an urgent man hunt for Diet Pepsi, oh the sweetness to her senses. Coke totally wins out here, so Pepsi products are few and far between, sorry Mum. The comforts of home aren't always easy to find...talking about comforts. Upon departure Mum and Aunt Sue gave us money and ordered us to buy a hot water heater...I would just like to take a moment. The Myrie abode has just entered the world of HOT water....yeah!! So great...I'll post a pic of the gadget that changed my life- THANKS MUM and AUNT SUE!
Oh, the end of this month my friend Amanda will be visiting. Pray for her safe travel, that God would bless her vacation time and that we would just have fun.
God has so encouraged us by the presence of those we love. It was amazing to actually have family visit and see what we do and where we are- its great encouragement when things are tough...
