Still in Argentina:)

Well, if you've been tracking our story- I hope there's been a few chuckles and some prayers going up to heaven for us!
This has been an eventful two days- we'll be in Mendoza, Argentina, until Monday. Monday morning we'll bus to Santiago, Chile to fly out the next morning to Guatemala.
We spent about 5 hours yesterday dealing with different airline concerns...Praise the Lord. After waiting at the bus station for half of the day to see if there might be a slight possibility that the Chile border would open, we headed directly to the airport. The Mendoza YWAM base director had reserved an airline ticket for Lajuane, so we went to see him off. Upon trying to pay for the ticket, the airline agents told us that we couldn't pay there and had to go back to the travel agent, located downtown, obviously not by the airport. So, to the travel agent- buy the ticket, back to the airport...hugs and last minute directions to Lajuane. Phew, the flight was already boarding...

Omar and I then headed back downtown to the internet place. We spent hours, contacting everyone to let them know of the changes and trying to contact TACA airlines to change the tickets for the rest of the team. After so much time and no possibilities of being able to pay- the quoted price to change was $580 usd per person- we headed back to the base. Then round 2 came- we camped out in the base director's house, making calls to the airline company in other countries, desperately trying anything. At 1:30 am we left with no progress.

This morning we awoke to tackle it again- God is faithful. We were first given the price of over $500 usd per person to change the flights. After she talked with her supervisor they decided we only had to pay $50 per person, $350 for the team. Thank you Jesus...tears of joy filled my eyes. Before they gave us the final price, peace was over our hearts and minds, God provides for us no matter how impossible it seems. We are rejoicing today....

So, we'll begin our end of DTS teaching this week and evaluations for each student...

Pray for God's grace and life over this time. We are so grateful for this miracle!! Thank you to all those standing in prayer with us, it made the difference!
