Hi all...We arrived safely in Argentina yesterday. They don´t have email on the base, so I´m in a webhouse right now. The team is doing good...we met as a team this morning to ask God of specific things He would want us to draw our attention to while we´re here.Pray for unity of the team, we believe Argentina is a new beginning with our team. The DTS is fasting for the next three days and we will be praying for personal revelations and God´s prophetic words for the people we meet. Its an act of submission and declaring we want God´s heart more importantly than choosing ourselves. Our first full day in Argetina...we´ve been prayer walking all afternoon to a few key places in the city. Getting God´s heart for the people here...tonight we´ll be serving food to people on the streets. On Tuesday we will head out to the ¨Camp¨ ministry...working with a tribe in the desert. So exciting and different than any other experience we´ve had so far.

our Chile trip...

hey Everyone...
Well, we've been serving in Chile for this week, mostly working here on the base. Today we visited the YWAM church plant in La Pintana (a certain area in the city of Santiago). After church and "kissing" welcomes from the people there, we walked about 10 minutes to another ministry. There was a couple there in a position of separation and we had the opportunity to share with them God's purpose in their marriage. It was a good time of praying over them and sharing God's truth; looking forward to spending the week with them to encourage and be part of their family.

Our next week will be in La Pintana. We'll be teaming with the pastors to pray, visiting people in their houses, working with children and praying down God's presence. This neighborhood is one of low-class, people who don't have hope for their future, dooming their legacy to be the same as their parents, drug trafficking and prostitution. Please pray for us as we effect this barrio, we'll be out of internet contact for a week!
Blessings,
Omar & Alyssa Myrie & DTS team

A healing!!

Hi Everyone...thanks for your prayers! We arrived in Chile safely at 3:30 am on the 15th. Its taken some to get adjusted- 3 hour time difference. Just received news today of our time in Guatemala- check it out! The following is an email from Guatemala staff member, David...

Hey Omar!

You are going to love this.  Just got news today that yesterday when Ana Deysi went to see the doctor, they told her that miraculously all of her tests have just turned up that nothing is wrong with her anymore!  She had been healed!  Apparently, the doctors could not explain it, but there was the evidence on the results.  She had been healed!  YEAH!  I am telling you this because I know that last Friday you all prayed for her.  So, share the news with the team!

Blessings,
David

A privelege to be in Guatemala

We've been very active in the cool weather of Guatemala City- praise the Lord, no sweat!!! We've had the opportunity to visit schools, be a part of the Staff Training "Destiny by Design," spend time at Shalom Casa children's home, hung out with a group of people living on the streets, prayed for people at the soup kitchen and interceded on behalf of the government here....Its been busy, challenging and a stirring of our hearts. I'm so grateful at what God is doing through us and in us, our team has "got down" to business and put their eyes on Jesus- the author of Great Things. We're excited to see all that He has in store as we travel to South America next week...
Please pray:
  • Monday we'll be visiting "La Linea" (the line) its a deserted railroad tracks where prostitutes have rented tiny rooms. Its like its own community...we'll be walking around and talking to the ladies, sharing with them and getting to know their lives a bit. Pray for God's heart to be revealed through us, even through our limited Spanish.
  • Tuesday- our flight to Chile, pray for safety
  • Health for the team- we've had some bouts with different things while being here
  • One of our team members, Lajuane still needs a visa for Argentina- pray for God's favor
love & blessings!

We arrived!!!

We arrived in Guatemala City this evening- our director Santi and his brother-in-law drove us straight to the base here. It was wonderful...some praises already. In leaving the Belize border, my work permit had expired yesterday, with the original departure date on Monday, I had forgotten about it. After Santi talked with the supervisor, God gave favor and granted me departure. Otherwise I would have had to go back to Belmopan and see if the work permit was yet approved and pay an extension fee. Praise God- my heart was beating a little faster and I was kicked into prayer mode. Then the border patrol on the Guatemala side charged us half price because we're a non-profit, which they've never done before. Yay...looking forward to what's next. We'll be going to the city dump "neighborhood" to do a children's program tomorrow and in the evening having an evangelism outreach in the park with the breakdancers- a group of youth that the base here is mentoring. Can't wait to tell more....please keep two of our team members in your prayers, Anna and Lajuane. They're arriving early Sunday morning.
Blessings!
