Jumunuco, Dominican Republic

We've spent the last couple days with a great family- part of YWAM Planting for the Harvest in Jarabacoa, DR. The couple, Ambiori and Kim, have giant hearts to reach the people of this mountain community. Jumunuco is the greater community that contains about 20 something smaller communities. There are 2 other families of missionaries living around the mountain.

This morning we spent praying, worshipping and intercession. Calling forth God to be exalted in these places. We traveled by truck (on a very bumpy road) to just 2 of the many high points- we stopped and asked God for specifics on what to pray. The theme of Deut. 28 was relevant- reading the many blessings of those that follow God, being reminded that God is the true treasure, His blessings are just a benefit of His LOVE!!

Tomorrow we will help to repair/build a road about 5 minutes from where we're staying. We're working with the community to see change!
Pray for safety, good attitudes and God-appointed connections!

We had a great week at the YWAM Caribbean conference- challenged in lots of ways. Praying for fresh ideas and new foundations to be set in our ministry and lives. Please pray that God's Spirit would move us towards the direction He wants us to go.

The DTS and Kathy arrived at our last destination this evening. We'll be spending the next week here- already blessed by the family we're serving. Pray that our time here will be led by God!!

one week mas...

I know its been awhile since an update...

We (Richard, Wayne, Renisse, Omar & I) are finishing the YWAM 50th year celebration conference in the DR. Tomorrow is the last day and then we will drive 4 hours from here. We'll be working with a church planting family in a rural community. We'll be serving the community by helping to repair a road. (please pray for nice weather to serve the community). Also, Ms. Kathy will be joining us for this week- so we might just surprise her with a **special role in our dramas!!

For those who haven't heard- Mike left to go home the same night we flew to the DR. He had been ill for about a week in Mexico and decided to go home and recuperate. The sickness was serious but we're happy to report that he's recovering quickly and hopes to join us in Belize for graduation.

Elizabeth, Charles and Peter are in Belize City this week, serving different ministries, partnering with Ms. Sharon Arthurs. Also, they've connected with Kevan Guzman, one of last year's DTS students, he's a student at the junior college in Belize City. The team has been serving in primary school girls' conference this week, various primary schools were invited to have their girls come and receive quality teaching on life skills, disciplines and encouragements. Also, there was a ladies' ministry that Elizabeth helped serve. All of them plugged in with different churches in the city.

God has been faithful to us!
please pray for this last week of outreach...
-that God would continue to encourage and speak to us about specifics after the students complete DTS
-for unity and servants hearts as we seek to bless this family and community
-both teams
Serving till the end!!
